Circling bird
Large framed mixed media painting.
Inspired by Gerard Manley Hopkins' poem: "Let me be to Thee as the circling bird".
Mainly collage, with multiple layers of coloured paper built up over time to produce a rich textural effect and beautiful vibrant and subtle colours.
The feeling it evokes is of movement, freedom and energy, yet it is also peaceful.
